More Bugaboo Bee Stroller Pics (and a Video Too)

Just got more Bugaboo Bee images in, and I'm not sure what to think yet of this new design. The closeup makes the seat look like it's just perched inside this skeleton of a frame. Will the functional "ugliness" of this new Bugaboo stroller model become a thing of beauty? Bugaboo calls it "transparent design". Time will tell, and the market will decide. We also found out that the suggested retail will be $529. Wow.
Meanwhile, the image below shows how the Bee looks when folded up, and check out the demo video to see how Bugaboo Bee folds and unfolds. Can't wait to actually try it out.

Looks great... way better than the average umbrella stroller. But for 500+ clams on top of the $800 we already own? hmmmmPosted by: matt | May 9, 2007 10:06 AM
can't wait to see it in person! we are debating btwn. this and the cameleon now. i just wish that bugaboo made a detachable tray for the stroller.Posted by: | May 9, 2007 3:51 PM
Very ugly bee. I am shocked by the features. I think he did an awful job.Who would purchase a wheel chair for so much money. They would be better off going to the pharmacy.Posted by: Tahirah Lett | May 22, 2007 1:52 AM
Very shocked at the latest bugaboo bee design. Not an attractive design that would be worth paying for. I would not want to push a bugaboo for $600 or more that looks like the bee.I will stick to my cameleon, that has much more style and money's worth. Hopefully bugaboo will will design more prams like the frog and cameleon in future to keep the bugaboos standing out of the ordinary pram croud. That's why we buy bugaboo.Posted by: | June 6, 2007 10:47 PM
we have the bugaboo frog.. it grows with your child, easy to maneuver and looks great, worth every penny. The new bee is hideous i think the only reason this stroller has "buzz" is because bugaboo made it, if graco had made it no one would like twice..it's ugly.Posted by: Jesse | June 12, 2007 7:38 AM
Great idea, poor execution. The function surely proceed form on this one. I would have thought Bugaboo could have better harmonized the two.Posted by: BNLaneville | July 17, 2007 8:26 AM
Hign Design and practicality! True style comes from pleasing your self afterall, so everyone please step forward. I have all the bugaboos and they feel heavy and out dated now. 500 bucks is not that much to spend.Posted by: Melissa | July 30, 2007 2:51 PM
hmmm...practical design but with out the sunshade it looks very wrong-the wheels almost look like they belong to a walking aid....again each to their own-maybe will change my mind when it is finally unvailedPosted by: lwandie | July 31, 2007 1:54 PM
Is this a modern day wheelchair?! Would you feel comfortable pushing your child in this? Horrible is the nicest thing I can say. Did they have to sacrifice style to make this thing affordable for the masses? I would rather pay more and get a real bugaboo.Posted by: Julie | August 13, 2007 5:24 AM
Why is everyone knocking the Bugaboo Bee. I just got this stroller from Oh Baby Gifts and my wife and I love it. It's so convenient and makes transporting so much easier for us. I don't know about you guys but we're coming from a Graco here and couldnt be happier.Posted by: Jeff | November 6, 2007 9:28 AM
i have 1 of these bugaboo bees, i am in uk, its excellent and i am honoured that i am 1 of the 1st in the uk! ppl stare at it, i swear they must think what is it????!!!! but i don't care, my 13 month old daughter loves it and so do i, its excellent to move about, easy to fold and unfold, nice shopping basket, the rain cover is better than the frog i had and i am just in love! its definitely worth the price tag as its small and it is actually alot cheaper than bugaboos other models! buy one!!Posted by: sam | November 13, 2007 6:16 AM
Dear Sam (from UK, last post) Did you get your Bee in UK or in the US? I love the one I saw in London John Lewis and have pre-ordered, only doesn't arrive til Feb and I may have had baby by then :-( If I could get it elsewhere in UK that would be great. Do you know if the 24 month warranty still stands if you buy in US and live in UK? many thanks in advance for any info! Jess.Posted by: Jess | November 28, 2007 8:26 AM
My husband and I bought the Bee for my 11 month old daughter about two weeks ago while we were on vacation in New York. We had borrowed a mclaren volo for the trip and we all hated it. We went to a big baby store in Chelsea just to see what they had and after trying out a ton of strollers the Bee was hands down my favorite. In person, it looks great!(much better than the pictures) It steers like a dream, is easy to fold, and even easier to unfold. Now that I am home in New Orleans, the Bee has had no trouble handling our terrible bumpy roads and sidewalks. Most importantly, my daughter, who is not a stroller fan at all, loves it too!Posted by: Meredith | December 2, 2007 9:24 AM
I have a red BEE, and i just love it. My daughter is 2 and a half, and she sits in it very comfortably, even lays completely flat for her nap. i have had all the Bugaboos, this is just the BEST. I get lots of compliments when i'm out, and its a dream to push. i'm in Australia, and couldnt wait til march when they are available here, so had mine shipped from USA. Worth every penny, Go Bugaboo!!Posted by: Paula | January 28, 2008 5:44 PM
I checked out the Bugaboo Bee at the John Lewis store (UK). I was concerned that it may look like a dwarfed shopping trolly because of the wheels! However, it definitely looks better in person than in the pictures. In moves around effortlessly and doesn't look like a wheelchair! The hood is massive - Great for baby's privacy! This is one is a must for us as we live in central London and travel about using public transport. Although it is just 7kg, it feels solid and sturdy. The basket underneath was bigger than I expected (I was really surprised). The small space this little stroller takes up is absolutely perfect for shopping, buses, trains, doorways, etc. I'm sure London will be flooded with Bees in different colours over the next few months! Is it worth the price?... I'm not rich or well off, but my baby's worth it! I shall be getting one!Posted by: Tony | February 1, 2008 7:17 AM
I am the one of the first in Holland to get my long awaited bee. WOW! Indeed the fotos don't do it justice, it looks great, my daughter in in her element in it and is a dream to push, even over the cobbles in Holland! Definately a strong recommendation for anyone thinking of getting buggy!Posted by: Abi | February 3, 2008 1:12 PM
Hi, Paula mentioned she got her bee shipped to Australia. Anyone know where we can buy one and have it shipped internationally to middle east? ThanksPosted by: Daddy G | February 22, 2008 1:51 AM
I bought bugaboo bee . It´s practical and very beautiful!Posted by: Patri | April 14, 2008 2:39 PM
We bought the Bee in September 2007 for our daughter, who was 3 months old at the time. She hated her previous stroller, but loved the Bee instantly. We love it too. We get asked about it all the time, and people love it, especially when they push it and see how light it is. It turns on a dime! We live in Boston, and the streets here are bumpy, but the Bee handles them nicely...plus, it fits through the T (subway) turnstyles, and takes up very little space on the trains.Posted by: Star | April 26, 2008 4:55 PM
