A Kid’s Room Sanctuary by London’s Studiomama

by Robert on August 9, 2008

Studiomama Kid's HouseKids love their own spaces.  So here’s one kid’s room that’s part treehouse and part playhouse.  What I love is the staircase that serves as an architectural transition between the bigger room and more intimate "this is my space" sanctuary.  [Bloesem Kids via SwissMiss]

Danish designer Nina Tolstrup is currently based in London and designs products for companies while also taking a pro-active approach designing, manufacturing and selling her own ranges under the Studiomama name … the kids house was build as an intriguing and playful structure that both could serve as a sleeping space or playhouse … I think it’s not for sale and is for her own kids, but what a great idea, if you ever have space enough…i ithink your kids will always be grateful…!

I like the concept but and how it is executed but I don’t think I would want that in my home for more than one reason.
I did however find some other really cool things on studiomama’s site – their creative thinking carries through to their other work.
