Today, the Center for Science in the Public Interest released their study into the high sodium content in restaurant meals. Here’s their list of the top 10 saltiest kid’s meals in America. Even if you don’t eat out much, this list might help you be mindful of the "kid’s meals" that are available out there. Seems like these small meals pack a sodium whallop that isn’t too healthy for your kids. For reference, the recommended daily sodium limit for children 4-8 years old is 1,200 mg.
For our family, our rule of thumb is to just limit the amount of processed foods we eat, then we don’t have to worry so much about charts and reports like these.
