Guilty Surfing Pleasure: Tacky Christmas Yards
Counting the hours away till your holiday break? Here's a site that will help waste the time away - Tacky Christmas Yards. Yards are sited for various violations including "Unharmonious Arrangement", overuse of one color, "WTH" (What the heck!), and my favorite "Fallen Figure/Drive-by Shooting Victim Violation".
Then, there's this description of the Intermingling Violation -
Intermingling Violation: This is strictly prohibited. There should not be a North Pole sign lit up outside of the manger scene. A giant inflatable Santa should not be peering into the manger. Jesus was born in a manger, a place of nothingness, a symbol of scarcity and minimalism. Santa and friends next to the manger is mockery of the Lord! They are taunting the KING!
